We still live in Montevideo, actually two miles east of town for he past 28 years. We love this area and living in the country. It's quiet and we enjoy a lot of birds and animals here. Our Grandson, Zach, shot a prize buck in our grove on Thanksgiving Day with bow and arrow. Big excitement for the entire family! **** We have two sons and a daughter, all married (Jim, Jane & Joey) and we were blessed with five grandchildren. In 2006, we were blessed with another granddaughter (Joey & Michelle's) in July. Then on december 3, we suffered the tragic loss of our 16 year old granddaughter Megan Maree (Jim & Jan's) when she lost control of her car. The pain for all of us is unimaginable, but God's love has surrounded our family through the caring of friends and family. Her loss has brought all of us closer. We tell each other "I love you" more (do it people) because you never know. *** Wayne and I retired in the spring of 2006 and have been working on our lake cabin in our spare time for 2 years now. Hope to be able to enjoy some fishing this summer! Still lots of work to do on the place. My Swedish ancestors settled on Eagle Lake in 1869 and our property has been passed down the. generations. The family enjoyed a mobile home there for 30 years, now it's time for a retirement place! Yes!
